The Royal Proclamation was one of the most important events that would soon result in the American Revolution and the creation of the United States of America. It was issued by King George III on October 7, 1763.
This was
issued because of the resistance of Pontiac and the natives. The Royal Proclamation outlawed land
speculation to the west Appalachian Mountains. The Ohio valley and other areas
indigenous to the native people could not be entered by settlers or traders
from the Thirteen Colonies without permission from the native people. Colonist knew
that the British government rather wanted what was good for the United Kingdom
than what was good for the Anglo-Americans and they also thought that the
British did not even regard them as equal.
The whole point of the Royal Proclamation was to establish better relations with the native tribes regarding trade.
